Borneo WW2 knife

My Pop brought this back from Borneo after serving there in WW2. As kids he would tell stories of taking out the enemy at night by sneaking up on them with his knife. He always had good bedtime stories. Im not sure if this is just a souvenir knife or a dayak tribe knife. Either way I am greatful to of inherited it.
