This unusual & flamboyant perfume bottle has been in my collection for some time, but I have not been able to find any information on where, or when it was made. I suspect that it might be French. I know that Baccarat made some hand holding perfume bottles in the 1930s (for the Elizabeth Arden fragrance "It's You") but the style of those are quite different to this (they are also way out of my price range).
This bottle is made from fairly thick, good quality pressed crystal glass. It measures around 20 cm tall including the stopper, which is shaped like stylised feather plumes. No maker's marks whatsoever. The style is suggestive of the Art Deco era.
It was purchased from a seller in Canada about 11 years ago.
Wow, that is simply amazing!
