Hello Everyone.
Good Evening from Ontario.2018-05-19.
I have this piece for few years now, it was in very bad shape when i buy it at GoodWill, the brass plate was falling of, the marble was painted(yes painted), and the Horse was very rusty,.
I really take my time when i restore a piece, whatever it is, i have so many project on the move( 3 steamer trunk, 2 Art Deco floor lamp, few antique chair and many more) i love to go from one to the others, it's not to boring this way.
Anyway this one is finish, i am very happy with the result, a friend of mine at Home Depot was Japanese, she help me a lot with everything related to Japan, she look at this, and mention that this was a trophy giveaway to a Horse breeder/Trainer for the work he done in the year 1962.
This trophy stand at 16 inches tall by 6 inches wide.
Many thanks for looking.

It's to bad I didn't take a picture before and after, I just love restoring old stuff, so not really any merit there, I am OCD, LOL
of course nothing is perfect on this dismantle world, perfect place for OCD peoples.

Yes indeed, beautiful TROPHY, and the Horse was a big job, I have to pull my basin and do some electroplate, was so rusty and need to be blasted down, smoothed and take few bath in my magic solution" et voila le travail", I did this many time for my steel Bank, it's metal so corrosion is an issue......
Wow Alan! So interesting piece, and you did a wonderful restoration!!!!!
