Item was passed down through the family. I believe it to be WWI trench knife. I have found similar knives on the web. This knife is different than the others I found because the guard fits down into the scabbard and the handle is either bone or stag . Handle material is probably not original. Scabbard is steel with flat spring inside to prevent blade from falling out by accident.
Any help to ID this knife would be appreciated.

Update, after a few hours searching the Web I found it was made by Anton Wingen Solingen Germany. WWI
Found it called a trench knife, boot knife and fighting knife. And stag was used for original handle material.
