Bought this at an Estate sale here in Dallas. The price was right even with the water stains. It has been mounted on a hard chipboard, and set in a black wood frame. On the back is an inventory number. I'm wondering if this might have hung at The Neiman Marcus Store in 1964. The print shows so damage but the image is just as great now as it was back then. Date: 1964
Size: 26.25 x 39 inches Artist: Ib Antoni
Very nice, the painting is an amusing "showdown" of a Texan meets Dane (a guard for their royal family), and the fortnight was probably a special two week feature at NM of Denmark's clothing, foods etc back in '64
Thank you NEWFLD.
I love this very much !!! wow this is something I wished I had!!

If only you had some vintage baseball photos to trade ? Hmmmmmm.
Ib Antoni Jensen came to Dallas for a Neiman Marcus Fortnight. I created the advertising for the State Fair of Texas and the General Manager asked me to contact Mr. Jensen regarding his possibly creating a poster for the Fair. A charming man with whom I had lunch and meetings though our project fell through for some reason I forget now. He gifted me with a dozen or more of his posters which were all perfectly wonderful. Such a talent. Unfortunately I neglected the posters for the most part and they have been damaged over the years. I still have them, I think, in storage. His work for the NM Fortnight was superb, back then Mr. Stanley Marcus was instrumental in creating a 'way of life' for his loyal worldwide customers. The Fortnights, celebrating various countries, were in themselves, works of art and wonder. Such a time! Ed
You all might google Ib Antoni Jensen and also Neiman Marcus Fortnight and see what comes up. As you can see by the poster above, Jensen was a very clever and witty artist. A very nice man as I recall. For some reason I seem to recall he asked $10,000 to design a poster...this may well not be correct, I have no idea why this figure has popped into my head but the amount may be why the Fair decided not to commission him to do a poster for the 'world's largest State Fair'. Thank you ED,
Great story. I'm always amazed about what people know or had experiences.
