Found this stunning brooch at a thrift store for less than 4.00. I did some research and found out that CORO signature was done exactly like this is on the brooch in 1919. Then they went with Pegasus and different marks from there. When they went back to the CORO mark the lettering was a bit different. If you notice the "C" and especially the "R" is different after 1919 . Also the "O's" were much rounder the first go around -.
First used July 1919.
If I'm wrong on the dating - please let me know -- I'm slowly learning about dating costume jewelry and the whos and what's to know :) . thanks Lee
Lovely Coro floral brooch. The Coro co underwent many mark changes over the yrs, my experience tells me the scripted mark was mostly done in the 30s-40s period, but it varied as to a slanted or straight name - a good website to ID your costume jewelry mark age is illusionjewels.com

That's the site I got the information regarding the mark Coro-script-no angle-different font 1919 Photo courtesy Di Kemp.<wish could paste the photo- ugh... but here is link. The font looks the same to me from the C, o's and r. The same r font from the site looks as if only done on the sterling ones. I agree that the style seems to be from 30's -40's. either way- killer find for 1.50. :)
