    Dear Collectors Weekly,
Hi my name is Nick and i am 16 years old. I live in rural Pennsylvania. I am a young picker throughout my area. I buy many old motorbikes and minibikes. Im into collecting old engines and minibikes. I recently picked up and old 1963 Simplex Compact Sportsman minibike which i purchased off my neighbor for $175. I do not know much about my minibike, just that it is a simplex minibike and its from 1963. The motor is the only thing that is not original. The bike has a title that i just transfered with the origional owner. It had a continental red seal engine on it originaly. But i am very proud of this pick and i ride it around many back roads and back streets. This is the most interesting pick so far.
    Sincerely,
    Nick

HEY NICK LOVE YOUR SIMPLEX. IVE HAD SEVERAL COMPACT SPORTSMAN MOST IN BETTER CONDITION THAN YOURS AND THE MOST I EVER GOT OUT OF ONE IS $600.00. NOT SAYING YOU COULDNT GET MORE FOR YOURS JUST GOOD LUCK. ALSO NEVER HAD ONE WITH THE ORIGINAL MOTOR ,THE CONTINENTAL ENGINE WAS JUNK AND DIDNT LAST LONG AT ALL.IF YOU HAD THE ORIGINAL ENGINE AND THE TITLE, YES THEY ALL HAD TITLES BECOSE THEY WERE STREET LEGAL,AND IND GOOD RUNNING CONDITION THE VALUE WOULD BE ABOUT $2000.00 HOPE THIS HELPED

That's an outstanding find Nick. I've recently got back into the hobby and from what I can tell Minibikes are getting hot again. If you ever want to talk about them let me know. We could trade and help hunt down parts for each other. I have found quite the honey hole of engines and frames. You wouldn't belive the pics of the mountains of engines I have picked through in this guy's three sheds. Literally up to my chin is one of them. Anyway, I notice this post is years old so hopefully you are still into it all.
