Here's another assortment of my vintage restaurant dishes, these mostly dug out from further back in the cabinets/storage since I don't truly use all these, at least not as much as the other bunch of plates/bowls shown recently. (and in other past posts) Like the others, these have mostly been gathered from thrift shops/etc, and could easily date from the 1960's-80's. And again, just like the last bunch -- though none of their patterns exactly "match" any of the rest of 'em -- none of them really "don't match" any of the rest either. BEAUTY! :-) <LOL>
Top left is a single 9-1/2" grill plate, "DESERT TAN" by STERLING CHINA (East Liverpool, Ohio). Top right are three 7-1/2" x 10" oval serving bowls (also in a tan color) by WALKER CHINA (Bedford, Ohio). In the center is a 7" x 2-1/4" x ~4" gravy boat (salad dressing server) by SYRACUSE CHINA. (with a nifty stylized logo...this one 1950's?)
The bottom row is three "pairs" of (5-1/2 or) 6" saucers. Funny story...I didn't even realize myself, until taking these pics today, that they weren't a 'set of six' instead...I'm d*mn near certain I got them all together, but never noticed (again, since I don't really use these everyday) the very subtle differences in their patterns. (and size) Two are by ULTIMA CHINA and two more are BUFFALO CHINA (both 6") and the remaining two (LH side under grill plate) are by HOMER LAUGHLIN and actually only 5-1/2" across.
Logos on the bottom sides of all of them are shown in the last two pics.
