I found this at a local junk store. It appears to be fairly old but I am no expert in pottery. I was hoping that someone could tell me more about it. There is no maker's mark that I can see.

About 19 inches high and 15 inches wide. It is VERY heavy.

      Hi vintagelamp,
I came across 2 of these recently that look exactly like yours. Did you ever find out the origin of these or roughly how much they're worth?
      Thanks!

      vintagecurious,
I never found out if this has any real value. An antique dealer told me that some type of food came in these pots but I forget what it was. If I happen to recall, I will let you know. Regardless, the pot is great and I still love it!
I have to get back on this site. I have been away too long, working in my garden etc.
      Take care!

Yeah I think they were originally used for eggs (maybe to ferment them, not sure). I'm pretty sure this one - and the ones I have - are reproductions though. But they still could have some value. Oh well, glad you're still enjoying it!

This looks exactly like what I have, and is quite handsomely priced: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175617010753?hash=item28e396ec41

      vintagecurious,
Wow! Thanks for the info and link. The antique dealer stated that he had seen others in the past.
