Iron Mountain Stoneware Bowl - Roan Mountain Pattern

does anyone recognize this mark? it's pretty unusual, i think. maybe i'm looking at it wrong? it's a nice mid-century bowl - production piece of a studio pottery piece, by the looks of it. reminds me of Heath or Designs West. thanks for looking!
