Don't really know what model this might be ... looking for help to identify th ku s cannon. Will someone please tell us exactly what this is . It has a very nice patina , brass as well as the wood looks very old with age . We will greatly appreciate any and all information.

This is a very impressive model of a Whitworth cannon. I'm impressed !! They were imported during the Civil War from Britain to the South. Originals fired an octagon projectile thru an octagon rifled bore. This design rifling was used by Confederate snipers rifles and very accurate. This is obviously a shooter. Do you know what caliber ? I would not venture to shoot anything but blanks. This is my field & ask that you contact me at my email listed on my profile. I have questions to ask and expertise to share.
