Hi MrsTyndall, Do you know what, I really don't know. I am one of these probably silly collectors who buy things because I like them (and at the right price of course) and when and if it happens I sell them I may carry out a bit of research to find out what they are and a possible value. I have one of these but have always listed them as pill boxes... until now of course. This is a grand collection. Thanks for the info!!!
You're right there are some pill boxes amongst my collection. Some pill boxes have a very thin plastic lining to protect the silver and some of the more expensive and very valuable snuff boxes had a gilt wash lining again to protect the silver. Neil
That's interesting. So, do tell... when you looked for them, what did you type in? I always wonder what words people use to find something. I think I get to technical when searching for something... My friend uses strange words but always finds what he's looking for.

With my vintage powder compact collection, I've overlapped into some pill boxes and really love them as well.
