Hello everyone!!
My latest Pierre Chenet bronze sculpture find from a seller in Belgium. This one is of a sitting rabbit. As with all Pierre Chenet sculptures, this one is nicely detailed in every way. It's signed with the unmistakable Pierre Chenet "Crown" foundry stamp and the "P. CHENET" signature as well. This one measures 5" tall and about 5 1/2" long.
Pierre Chenet is an artist from northern France who has created magnificent bronze sculptures since the early 1970's.
He uses his own technique, known as "acid patina" which gives his bronzes a unique color. Each sculpture is unique by its color. So, no two are ever alike. The bronze is usually stamped with the "Crown" of his own foundry.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!!!
Scott
Love the color on this bunny. Beautiful piece.
Thanks Anik!! Believe it or not, Pierre Chenet actually developed and patented the chemical that causes the bronze to turn this color.
Oh, another one! I think you are making me a huge fan of Pierre Chenet's work, Scott. Thanks for introducing him to me. The patinas on his pieces are so beautiful!
He's a wonderful Chenet bronze rabbit Scott, delightful to add this signed one to your collection
Great write up Scotty. Always like to know about the history of a great piece.

Another cute bunny! Just curious, How do you display all your bronzes? You have many nice ones ;)
The detail makes for the most beautiful piece !~
Stunning!
Wonderful as always Scott! Love this little treasure:-))
Thanks Mrstyndall!! I have most of my bronzes displayed in an old china hutch. But, that one is now full and I'll need to make room for future bronze pieces.
Thank you Ken!! You are far too kind my friend!

I worked , but doing things around the house. Moved most of my collection to climate controlled storage this past weekend. I only kept a few extremely rare pieces at the house.
