Billie Holiday -Gloomy Sunday and other side is Don Howard - Oh Happy Day.
Recorded at the Presto Recording Studio in New Jersey. It's a 78 record. I haven't had it appraised as of yet, I'm believing this may be a demo record that the two of them pitched their money together; bought 1 hour recording time. She record one side one song - he did the other side , one song. Then they used this as a demo at radio stations. NOW I COULD be way off on my thoughts, but when I found this record, was in Sun City, AZ. They had put out tons of boxes for a loose trash pick up. The person passed away and was from back east. This person could have been friends with Billie or at the studio when they recorded this or could have been a DJ at a radio station and had kept the record. Who knows.. any how someday I'll get to someone that is an expert with vinyl and has the right equipment to listen to it. Until then- I can keep hoping that this is a one of a kind -demo of Billie Holiday. You can see that on both sides that they didn't use the whole record. Would be cool if you can hear them talking before singing the songs..
