I just bought this "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" a couple of days ago. It's by Lewis Carroll with illustrations John Tenniel. The company that published the book/ bound it is M. A. Donohue & co., Chicago. There is no date anywhere in the book, but aside from story there is a cute cartoon in the front and back of the book. There are little mementos...pressed flowers, a Christmas card. But I cannot find a version with this cover. I just want to find out when it was printed! Thank you in advance :)
Beautiful illustrations, wonderful story. Very nice book collectors here on CW will help with info
Nope, I looked through my book several times and there isn't a copyright date of any kind. I just had had the thought to look up the name and address of the bookbinding/publishing company, and it narrowed it down a bit. It says M . A. Donohue & Co. Chicago 407-429 Dearborn Street. The company changed names and addresses slightly over the years, so this address dates the book from 1901-1917...? That's all I know for today.
Thank you!
