An another find from todays flea market..I paid 1 EUR if I am not mistaken. I searched for a pretty venetian cake beads necklace for a good price for an eternity!
As for the beads, they are old and some of them have seen some damage..the foil is barely there, also unfortunately the biggest bead is broken. The beads are decorated with a layer of gold foil, instead of the glitter. From what I have found on internet such type of beads is a variation called "dogaressa".
The necklace is cca 90 cm (35 inches) long.
As for the age, I would say maybe 100 years - but I am no expert, thus I would like to know your opinions on this.
Also - is it Ok to re-glue the broken biggest bead?
