A cool mystery for me from a thrift shop run , this one from my local GW ; Rockville Md. I liked the primitive look of it but unsure of what they represent , age or origin of the piece . The two animals are joined in an embrace , each with it's own distinct look ; 1 has many stripes on body & face while the other has just a few stripes down the back . The piece sits at 3 1/4"tall , 3 3/4"l by 2" w and air holes under 1 arm of each animal , made of cream colored clay with a brownish wash .
What animal are they ? Mexican Pottery piece ?
