    Being a history buff, when I came across this trunk, I couldn't resist the chance to restore it. It once belonged to a French Foreign Legion soldier who, as the story goes, was in those skanky front lines, dodging German bullets and shells. The mission was to give the trunk new life, and make it like new again. Kind of reminds me of an LV...maybe Louis was commissioned during that war, it would make sense. They also had some cool looking uniforms too, didn't they!

      Love the original trunk (photo #2).

      Not a fan of the restoration (over restoration in my opinion)-- the trunk has lost all of its character.
