I dont know much about this item or why i would have been made..it was made by royal daulton in 1940. Found it brand new at a thrift store

If you google J & G Meakin Winstone Churchill character mug you will find a few. That is the name of the maker which is marked on the mug!
Where did the Royal Doulton come from?
i got it at a thrift store for 5 dollars. thanks for the info!
