I found three of these antique chairs today. With all the markings on them it's still very difficult getting information online.
I found out through auction records that Dinolevi liquidated in 1960 but I can't find when it opened.
These chairs are all hand made because of the tell tale saw marks on the wood and they are not symmetrical with peg construction; the seat from one does not fit the others.
I noticed some modern nails and glue added to the corner brackets for stability but everything else is pegged. It has burlap straps to support the seat and this might be the original fabric because it was covered with a blue water resistant fabric which I removed.
On one of the corners of each chair is the name Ellis.
Your input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
