I was told this sword was over 100 years old. I believe it is a Masonic Knights Templar sword. I will try to confirm this through the Masons museum in Philadelphia. Overall length is 35 inches. There is no rust anywhere on the sword or scabbord.
The blade is engraved or etched on both sides with Crusader battle scenes on one side and a name with other images of knights on the other. Some of the scenes have a good wash as a background. I did have a problem trying control light reflection in the pictures. The only tarnish I see is on the guard, pommel and decorated pieces on the scabbord. And I will not try to clean them until I find out whether they are brass or bronze. If anyone has any additional information it would be appreciated.
Thanks Pete
