Curious about the history of this made in Occupied Japan teacup inasmuch as its design is different from the floral or oriental patterns I tend to see. Looks like a western goddess ... Thanks

Hi, and welcome to CW. Your Occupied Japan teacup was destined for export to America or Canada. Usually floral, although your cup has a nice English? transfer.

It is made to look like sevres french upscale porcelain. While most is false, some manufacturers in france made wonderful pieces. The English also copied it, along with china and japan.
