I was told it is an incense burner. It is so dirty, I can't tell if it's bronze or cast iron. It weighs about 2 and 1/2 pounds. There is writing on the bottom it looks Asian in stylemm. As always any help greatly appreciated.

Looks exactly like an incense burner to me, as unclear as the pictures are. It looks fairly common. They used to sell a lot of burners like this in the 70's. Detail was always on the poor side. Look for detail first. It it kind of muddled up and not sharp? Good signs of reproduction.
