I don't honestly remember where/when I first got this nifty little multi-purpose measuring/layout tool...but after coming across it again the other day, I thought it might be worth showing. :-) Stamped 'TWELVE IN ONE TOOL NASHVILLE U.S.PAT.1,636,637 MADE IN U.S.A." along with various angle indication marks and measuring scales in 16ths and 32nds of an inch. It is made in two pieces joined with a thumbscrew-in-slot arrangement, with extra grooves included to 'lock' it into its "T" and "L" shapes.
A quick Google search revealed this website which explains the usage and history of the tool, which was invented by one Thomas Setzer Hutchison and manufactured by the HUTCHISON MANUFACTURING CO. of Nashville, TN.

I don't know exactly how old it might be. Mr. Hutchison's patent was issued in 1927 and I've found ads for the tool dating into the 30's, but (according to above website) he died in 1936, and I haven't found much of any clue what became of his company/etc. afterward.
theres really 13 it makes one hell of a back scratch just the right angle ...lol nice find T. later
