This little guy is 6" tall. I have had him for years and no idea where I found him. He is caramel slag glass and on the back of his left calf he has a mark, a "C" inside a hexagon. Next to the mark are the numbers "81", so guessing this was made in 1981. I've never seen this mark before. Does anyone know who made this? Thanks!

reminds me of many Boyd glass figurines. but I think these are perhaps recent China imports. here's an eBay seller with matching 'girl'; perhaps that seller might divulge source?"

Thanks for the comments Newfld and TallCakes.

TallCakes, thanks for your research! I have had this little figure for ten or twelve years, stuck away in my china cabinet. I stopped collecting glass around 2008, maybe earlier. I'll contact the seller. Their description calls their pieces "vintage", but that could be salesmanship.

I added a closeup of the mark. I also sent images to Boyd Art Glass, since they were around when this may have been made and they were probably well aware of their competition at the time. The seller of the items on ebay has not responded to by questions about the three similar figurines they have for sale.

Boyd responded and said they don't know anything about this maker. Drat!
