This was a amazing find at the dump, I got this from a house clearance load, it belonged to a women who worked for Winston Churchill as a cook and her husband was a Butler at 10 Downing Street in the 1940’s

She would write to her son who was in the war, she would write to him daily and fill him in in what she has been up to at work and most importantly tell him what Churchill Was up to, where he was and about his Health.
I’m still reading though the letters as their is over two hundred.

In one of the letters she tells her son that she had a bad fell and hurt herself, so when she got to the Churchills for work that day they took care of her, they made her a hot bath and some brandy and then made her a boiler egg and tea.

They are a great insight on Winston Churchill at that time.

I will post some of the letters on here soon.

The third photo is me at the antiques road show. they loved the pieces I took in to show them and I got to be on the telly, you have to watch it to find out how much The valuation was, lol

Write a book based on letters.
From her perspective, and try to connect dates they were written with actual events. Worth trying.
This is a rare piece of history.
