So, my girlfriend and I have a thing for rocking chairs, old rocking chairs. We found these 3 rockers at garage sales over the past 2 months.

The knitting or nursing rock is real nice. It looks to have been refinished, it looks like Maple with black walnut burl vainer design at the top. I don't believe your bent woods are very old it's hard to tell without seeing them. But all three seem to be in very nice shape. You should lemon or orange oil the cane to keep it from drying out.
I agree with James. The nursing rocker to the left is older than the other two. It is strikingly similar to my show and tell post:

Minus the arms, it has the same overall shape and curves. I believe mine is from the mid- 1800's. If so, both of ours were probably painted with a solid color originally, and refinished later.
If you collect antique rockers I have been told by antique dealers and those who repair them that the actual wood should never be refinished. It ruins the value. I have a nursing rocker that belonged to my great, great, great grandmother from Germany. I had it re-caned but did not have any cosmetic or refinishing done to the frame. The antique expert that re-caned the seat and back only stained the canning to make it look old and match the age of the rocker.
