I am very very grateful to have found this beauty.
A lamp by Iwata Glass, circa 1960s.
It's made with a pink pulegoso glass bowl as the base, drilled to take a ceramic lamp fitting.
The flowers of pink pulegoso glass are individually made and have been mounted on a brass coloured steel frame. There are two layers and sizes of flowers; the larger sitting over the smaller, so it becomes a very dense group as seen in photo 3.
I've had it about 4 weeks now, and still smile with delight when I see it, lit or unlit.
Size: 22cm high, 40cm across.
OMG! It is insanely fabulous! And reminds me of some equally fancy, flowery lamps from the Tango era of Czech glass - beaded baskets of fruit & flowers.
I can certainly understand the joy it's bringing you - it made me smile, too...

Flowers and light for you all :)
Really lovely! It's interesting. Lit, it makes me think of something circa 1920s-1930s. Unlit, I see the 1960s.
