This is a Bronze Medal that has been with the family for ages, but no one seems to know why we have it! It's a National Rifle Association Medal dated 1860. It was designed by G G Adams, but there are no markings round the edge. It comes in a lovely box with a badge which I don't recognise, maybe someone here does. I am also not sure when this medal has been presented. Maybe it's a 3rd prize for rifle shooting every year from 1860. I'm not sure I can classify this as a military medal, though various members of my family have been in the Army. (UK).
The box is as unique as the medal.
