    Does anyone know what these items are for. I thought they might be related to scaffolding but that's only a guess. Each plate is 3 x 2 3/4 inches.

      Look like anchors of some kind. Attached to an other piece of steel, or cement.

      Back plate for joining 2 scaffold pipes at 90 degrees to each other. The plate locks into a band that goes around the scaffold tube.
