By vintage I mean I have no clue. Anyway it is a nifty Knife, fork, spoon and can opener combination. It is about 3 3/4" long so easily fits in a pocket. In a coin pocket or rear pocket not so much but in regular front pockets or cargo pants pockets.
I am not finding much information about Stag knives made in Ireland but the same piece seems to been have made under various names made in Ireland.. This one is missing one of the plastic sides while the other is warped. Probably was left to close to the campfire.
This would be perfect for eating a batch of beanie weenies out of a mess kit. Hot dogs are my specialty, bacon cheese and all that.
Great multi use tool for camping
Had one of these when I was a kid. I'll never forget the first time I tried to use the knife and fork at the same time to cut a piece of steak.... ;-)
Stag is one of the very low quality knives associated with Imperial-Schrade, now out of business. These knives usually slide apart into two halves so that you can use the knife & fork together. I can't tell from your photos. If, in the center of the knife, there are two liners, side-by-side with nothing between them, then the halves will slide apart at that point. That would make it a "slot" knife.

Thank you very much racer4four. That would be hot dogs chopped up in beans. It is easy to make on a campfire. You can cut up the hot dogs with the knife and eat with the fork.

I haven't had any trouble living without American ideas of gourmet. I see no reason to digress.
