I think these are peacocks and that it's clay with a wooden base. I know it's in rough shape, but the lady told me what they called it, but I cannot remember. Any ideas? the top is all brass. Anything that would help me search it out would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

It appears that it might be enamel-painted, but the urn body needs some clear filler to prevent it from further cracking. The cord, of course, needs replaced. It makes me wonder why those earlier rubber plugs shrivel and crack and fall apart, and how people let them get so badly off. It would be pretty. If only you still had the original socket sleeve. The metal was probably always in burnished bronze finish. Don't scrub too hard when cleaning it.
