The design is a take-off on the Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife. Don't know if the originals had screw- off blades.

Still looking into this. Handles do unscrew from originals, but can't find one that unscrews like this. Seems they were made everywhere except Berlin, & I mean orig. collector's items. All that I find, unscrew at the back of the pommel. (back-end of the grip). That was news to me. Your poste prompted me to look more closely at my F-S fighting knife that I always considered to be a high quality Indian "knock-off". I am now seeing, for the 1st time, small markings and wondering what I really have. Mine is posted on CW if you care to look at my collection. Maybe I need to find a genuine, authentic, certified reproduction to mount on my bike. LOL !! A bientot & thanks !

I really like these knives , but haven't pulled the trigger on one . the originals demand a high premium , but there are so many replicas out there , that ive been very skeptical of them . ive only purchased 1 theatre made knife for the same reason . I haven't posted it yet , but maybe I will today .

yours looks really nice and I hope you've gotten what you paid for . thanks for posting it . they are great collectors items and subjects of discussion . I haven't researched these knives much at all . wish I could actually be of some help .
