Found this putter at a flea market outside of Boston. It has a hickory shaft, leather hand grip and the putter head has a few stamps on it. The center stamp says Alex Taylor 26 E 42 St. NYC, which from some research was a sporting goods store that opened in 1921 in NY. There is a scales of liberty stamp on the left and another indiscernible leaf-like stamp on the right. On the top left hand corner it has a "G-2" stamp which could be Generation-2??
I have found other Alex Taylor putters online but they have different stamps and yet to see another with the scales of liberty. If anyone has any information regarding this putter I would really appreciate it. I am going to put it in a shadow box and hang in my office but some history would really round this piece out.
Thanks!!
