I collect Confederate themed items among other things. There were a lot of companies that jumped on The Dukes of Hazzard band wagon in the 80's. Many weren't licensed by Warner Bros., but they just painted/molded a vehicle orange, placed a Confederate Battle Flag on it and/or sometimes gave it a southern flavored name(Dixie, Rebel etc.) Matchbox covered all three categories with their orange flag emblazoned Revin Rebel series.
The cars came in a matchbox or blister pack. The second photo shows the known roof variations. Blue is by far the most common. White is rarer and the beige is very HTF. You may not can tell from the photo, but there is a difference between the white and beige. This is the only one I've ever seen. There are some blister packs that had a "Trip to London" contest on them that are rarer than the regular ones. To the best of my knowledge, the only set that the Rebel came in is the Hitch 'n Haul with a red wrecker pictured in the third photo. It has nothing to do with the Rebels, but I threw in a Fiat 1500, does anyone know what era this was produced. Thanks for looking.

The Matchbox #56 Fiat was made from 1965 through 1968. A fine collection of revin rebels.
Thanks for the info Apache.
