Found this half buried out west and thought it was a "suspicious rock". It is quite heavy for its size, it is 4 inches plus in diameter, it is NOT magnetic and if my theory is correct it upheld its purpose. Still I wish it knew for sure what it is any help is appreciated.

Looks like a lead ball that met an immovable object. Any cannoneers in that area ?
