I have no idea about what this is? Dagger? Letter opener? Actually found this in the trash so can’t ask former owner about. Looks old, but don’t know
8” long, blade is 4” long
1011 is carved into blade cover or the 0 might be Greek theta letter.
    Any help, greatly appreciated. Thx

The construction of the sheath and its style of decoration suggest Northern Africa. The 1011 element is simply a vertical decoration. The "O" is an eye, to protect the wearer from evil. The knife looks well made. It is probably a ceremonial dagger or a better-than-average tourist souvenir from the mid-20th century. By the mid-1960s tourist knives from the Mediterranean area had very little finishing of the blades and the overall fit & finish was poor.

I agree with UncleRon, i would say Saharian, either
Morocco or Algeria, looks old, but they are masters in the faking/aging art.
