I thought I'd take advantage of the glorious weather we're having in the UK at the moment by posting a few of my pots and vases. This one is known as a basket vase and was made by Beswick. Thank you for looking. Neil

They sold a lot of Beswick in Canada too, the U.S. was a very small market. This I think was their most attractive basket vase. The designer was a Mr. Watkin in 1940 and the design ran from 1940 to 1972, the shape # was 819. White Matt seems to be their most common one but they did some in deco colours and Copper Lustre and also black. 12 Inches high !~

For anyone who collected Art Deco in the old days before ebay and internet this was a highly desirable vase which went for much more money then. At that time I was not as lucky to find one. Another one I loved was the trout vase with the full trout figure on the vase. Sensational design team.

Thanks again Phil. I paid £30.00 some 10 years ago. Have you any idea what it's worth now ? Neil
