Acquired this urn/vase in Altinkem, Turkey (probably spelt that wrong). Beautiful piece of marble, blacks and greys with a hint of flame. A nice heavy item made for the souvenir trade and I love it. Neil
These are usually still sold in the free-trade shops where they say the money goes to the artists from the poorer countries. They especially make the onyx urns. This is a rarer marble which does not come up much anymore.
