GIVENCHY - Pin need help identifying

This GIVENCHY pin does not have the © symbol so is probably pre 1955? The signature is on a raised rectangle and the name, in block letters, are engraved in rather than raised. The pin measures 2" x 1/2". Can someone verify this pin as being authentic as well as any possible age and/or name of it? Thanks!
