This was love at first sight. The mix of vibrant red, heavy fabrication and size, elegant simple lines and a black glass pedestal foot. The color application seems to be uniform but it is not, there is slight marbling of a lighter shade of red. I considered A. Ruckl but have not found any other piece that would bolster that identification.

In the meantime I am happy to have it and admire it. If you wonder about the straight cut fan rim, yes it has been cropped at some point, by how much I can't say. It is highly polished, with a few rough spots along the inside of the top rim. So far I have not found anything that is remotely similar.

I think the applied foot is realy cool deco. The shape reminds me if WMF or Kralik although it could be others

This turned into an interesting identification exercise, the closest glass that was found was a 1920's WMF Art Deco glass line, of short duration, as I showed in another post. There are a few fabrication and decor aspects that match Ruckl, for months the search has not proven helpful for a definite attribution. In spite of the Berlin Art Museum having one of these WMF glass piece's in blue with a black pedestal foot. I dont think it's the same red shade, but that is always hard to say, when daylight or a flash has been used for light.
