Hello everyone.
This is a recent purchase, not what i would normally buy, but I thought it would be just so cute and the price was right!
The title is how the seller described this bird, and it measures 3 inches high and weighs 228gm.
The seller's photo was not the best so I was happy when it arrived and it was so cute!
There do not appear to be any maker's marks and I have not removed the green felt from the base.
I really have no idea how old this might be, could have been made yesterday, but that's ok because he looks great sitting on the mantle with a few other small animals.

Fabulous falcon Judy, I love him! He's beautifully textured, and what a great pose atop a gloved hand, I can imagine him as a regal pet, being flown by his master

Strange that Ken saw a falcon getting a sparrow... we had lunch at an outside restaurant yesterday. There was a flock of sparrows waiting for crumbs near us, a big lawn in front of the terrasse, and a falcon attacked and took one who was away with its bread piece :-(
We had to say to the kids witnessing the scene that it was a mama falcon who had to feed her chicks...

Hello Keramikos, thanks for the comment and the love. I really have no idea what this is made from, it is actually really black so I lightened the photos so you could see the detail. It feels like a coating of some sort!!
I just went with the seller's description and it is really heavy......goodness knows, not that it really matters, it is pretty cute in my collection and I appreciate you bringing this to my attention :-)
