Hello, Wondering if anyone can help me with this piece. It is tin with a wood stopper. Is it a musket ball pouch, tin flask for ?. Something tells me it was covered in leather at one time. It measures 6.5" H without wood stopper and approx. 14" in diameter. I obtained it at a garage sale and the owners said it was a relatives at one time, no idea of age, etc. I thank you in advance.

In all my yrs. of collecting antique weapons, I have never seen a shot pouch/container even close to this. We have to keep guessing. Did it have ashes in it? LOL
