Kenner's entry into the unlicensed Dukes of Hazzard game came in the form of The Street Boss in 1982. The Boss was one of the Fast 111's series which were their Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning etc. These were "chase" cars with different state's license plates to encourage collecting more. This one has an Alaska plate you can barely see in the last pic. I don't have any idea which, if any, plates are rarer. I wish I could one with a Bama plate if they made one. The Street Bosses had a Confederate Flag on the roof to try to give it General Lee Creds. They came in three colors. The blue seems to be the most common with the black one just slightly rarer but not uncommon. The orange is the rarest no doubt, also the orange being the General Lee color also makes them more desirable. I don't know if the orange ones were lower production, I doubt it. I think the orange was more popular and got played with more and trashed by kids making them scarcer now. The orange is the hardest to come by, one in a blister pack is truly scarce. Mine has some paint chips but overall, but it ain't too bad. I got it on the bay for $20 shipping included. I think it was a good deal. I need to acquire a black Street Boss and upgrade my scratched up blue one. Thanks for dropping by.
