This 2" Delizza & Elster butterfly brooch is a favorite piece because of the gradient blue rhinestones - sapphire blue marquise & navette stones, kingfisher blue inner chatons & pale blue outer stones, in a goldtone setting, unsigned, ca 1960s

Ken, I am delighted to hear you think it could be a D & E brooch, when I purchased it about a year ago from a fave rl jewelry seller, she thought it was very probably D & E also - I just wish they had marked some of their work to be sure. I do think a pretty fine costume jeweler designed this though, get lots of compliments on it. Thanks for the super uplifting comment
