I recently spotted this ring and, although it is not in perfect condition, I purchased it. The ring seems to me made of brass and glass. I would guess that it might be from around the 1930's. There is no mark on the ring. I have seen similar rings made in Germany or Czechoslovakia dating to around the 1930's or a bit later.
What is a bit unusual about the ring is the fact that the little roses close to the stone are a different colour of metal. I think the might be copper. It is hard to see in the picture.
Thanks for looking:)
Beautiful emerald cut stone, the faceting gives off so many glowing colors, gold, brown etc, lovely
Newfld, I am glad you like it, too. Thanks for your comment:)
I know that a lot of the gold rings they liked to use gold, and or rose gold, especially the ones made for the IOF !~
Many thanks for your comments, MsCrystalShip and PhilDMorris. I am sorry for the late reply. I am not getting any e-mails from CW notifying me about comments anymore. A lot slips through the crack now - LOL
