I have come across many of these hand painted porcelain brooches or pendants. I don't think it is anything special. It could be one of these do-at-home projects where ladies bought the blanks and then decorated them by themselves. I am not too sure about the age but I am guessing that the pendant could be from the early 1900's. In any case, it is a pretty little addition to my jewelry collection.
BTW: It came with with the part for a watch chain. I am not sure why. I have kept it together for now.
Thanks for looking:)
Many thanks, AdeleC:)
It is very pretty Freiheit! :-)
Many thanks for your comment, TassieDevil:)
Ms.CrystalShip, thanks so much for your lovely comment! I had second thoughts when I waited at the cash register but decided to buy it anyway. When I came home and had a second look at it, I was happy about my decision. I will take care of it:)
Thank you for your nice comment, Mary:)
I agree with the people above, it’s a pretty pendant. I would do some research.
Thanks for your comment, Peasejean55. I have spent already a few hours searching for piece like mine. I found many with roses or forget-me-not but nothing with a border close to mine. Borders were usually gold-tone only. I will keep looking:)
I've also looked and as you say I haven't found anything with the flowers and a butterfly. I'll keep my eyes open, good luck.
Many thanks for your help, Peasejean55:)
