I picked this from the storage room of an old mechanic's shop in the middle of Downtown Dallas.
Since I was on a bicycle, and only had room for one thing, I passed on an early Lionel train engine and a box of old license plates.
The winged figure is 14 inches tall and about 5 inches deep, with no modern hanging apparatus.
I'd like to know where and when it may have been carved. The ear adornment and instrument style appear South American to me.
Made for the tourist or to adorn an ancient boat?
