Green vase with white and blue flowers. It stands 7 1/2 inches tall. I think it’s old. Spent a lot of time between the internet and my pottery books with no luck at all with this five pedal type mark at the bottom. I just joined this website, not much of a computers guy. But I love antiques and I hope someone has seen this type of mark before. Thanks for looking.

I believe it’s an Awaji mark.

Ok. I’m rethinking that. The piece looks like Awaji ware but that particular mark I’m not finding as an awaji marking. Perhaps a competitor that produced in the style of. Someone should be along to fill in the blanks.

Thanks, I just looked at some Awaji pottery which I never heard of before and they do have some very similar vase types. Maybe it’s a mark they used for very a short time, will keep looking at them. Thanks again for response

oops! i think i made a mistake here. i don't think that this is Awaji - but possibly an imitation.

Hello ho2cultcha, can you let me know why you think it might be a awaji imitation. From my research the closest mark I found that is similar to my mark is, Taniguchi Sei ( made by Taniguchi ) - Late Meiji period, Satuma
