    Any clue as to the origin of this chair? The woman I acquired it from said her brother brought it home from New Guinea when she was young and she's in her eighties now. Thanks in advance.

      He brought it home from New Guinea but did he actually buy it there or somewhere along the way. I would ask her that question.
